  • @lillymunster i don't know if the reactors were controlled during the tsunami. i don't think so. but the tsunami and the cooling efforts are not important in this estimation, the result stays the same.
    by Edano 8/26/2011 2:30:30 AM

  • @estacion the source term ? but i read about the source term and the estimated release of inventory in the first paragraphs of the doc.

  • @Edano right, random thought while going through this abt. tsunami
    by lillymunster 8/26/2011 2:32:53 AM

  • as Edano says, workers and tsunami are irrelevant for results, say they were triggers

    by Edano 8/26/2011 2:35:56 AM

  • @lillymunster: if that were the case, Japan will cease to exist as final conclusion of this model.

  • @lillymunster: If al inventory was to be released, then all the country will be uninhabitable.

  • *all
    by estacion 8/26/2011 2:45:09 AM

  • @estacion I'm the messenger, not the technical analyst on this one so your going to have to tell me what your getting at. :-)
    by lillymunster 8/26/2011 2:46:29 AM

  • In fuku there is enough redioactive inventory to make all Japan uninhabitable. If you have good enough dispersion this will hapen. This model make simulation on the uncertanty parts (that is metereological weather, dietary habits, population distribution, etc..) But one thing that can not be a uncertainty is total inventory released to the ambient, without this alll become fume.

  • @estacion So your saying a variation between a unit 2 type of containment failure vs. a chernobyl style containment failure?
    by lillymunster 8/26/2011 2:59:45 AM

  • Precisely, and a variation between Unit 2 and 3 too.
    by estacion 8/26/2011 3:01:25 AM

  • Got it. Will put a note to remind me to add that as a caveat on this.
