the Exhibit)
-
The number of workers who are not finished evaluation of internal
exposure dose from March to May became 288 persons from 753 persons as of August 10. The evaluation results of workers who finished evaluation
this time are as follows.
Over 20mSv 2 persons (maximum 22.0mSv for March)
- The evaluation results of workers who finished evaluation for June are
as follows. Also there are 297 persons to be evaluated hereafter.
Over 20mSv 0 person
(2) Regarding the investigation on the workers whose contact information is
not identified
- We reported it as per Attachment 2 of the Exhibit.

May: 2,721 persons out of 3,209 intended persons (488 persons are remaining.)
*2 Detailed evaluation of internal exposure dose
Regarding the evaluation of internal exposure dose, firstly, a measurement
of the amount of residual radioactive material by whole body counter (WBC)
installed in Hirono football ground nearby J-VILLAGE will be conducted.
When the result of the measurement exceeds 20mSv, as detailed evaluation,
re-evaluation specifying irradiated date based on interview, etc. or
detailed measurement by using WBC of Japan Atomic Energy Agency (JAEA)
intended for detailed examination will be conducted. The evaluation result

80% of Japan's reactors out of serviceAnother nuclear reactor in Japan will soon be shut down for regular inspections, leaving nearly 80 percent of the country's reactors out of service.
Kyushu Electric Power Company says it will begin work on Wednesday to halt operations at the No.2 reactor at the Sendai nuclear power plant. The reactor will be shut down by Thursday morning.
The utility wants to restart the reactor in 4 months, after exchanging fuel rods and making detailed checkups on turbines.
But it is unclear when the company can restart the reactor, as well as another one at the plant which remains out of service although regular checkups have been completed.
After the Fukushima accident, underhanded practices of power companies and the government have come to light.
Kyushu Electric and other utilities reportedly tried to influence government-sponsored town meetings in favor of nuclear energy, and mobilized people behind the scenes to win local approval for nuclear power generation.
Such practices have spurred public distrust in utilities and government oversight of the nuclear industry.
After the Sendai No.2 reactor is shut down, 42 nuclear reactors among 54 in Japan will be out of service.

earlier I saw a crane moving on the other side of #1
by dean 9/1/2011 1:30:51 AM

big crane is moving now
by dean 9/1/2011 1:32:18 AM

some times when they just move the crane hook around I wonder if they are taking readings of radiation
by dean 9/1/2011 1:34:10 AM

am I right in believing the world was told all children in affected areas were to be given dosimeters even though they had no display rendering them pretty impotent?
this says that on Monday 29 children in one area were given them and in sept there will be another 100
WTF that doesnt tell anybody what those children have been exposed to in the last almost 6 months
translate.google.comby elainekirk 9/1/2011 1:41:15 AM

@elainekirk I think they gave them film badges instead of dosimeters. Is this one of Yamashita's doings or did another agency set this up?
by lillymunster 9/1/2011 1:47:38 AM

@lillymunster no idea I thought they anounced months ago that they were giving children badges
