  • He is on the advisory board of this company that wants to build ones of these oh so safe new reactors he talks about in the article the French EPR, the one that is likely to never be completed due to major design flaws.

UniStar Nuclear Energy announced it will probably build a new advanced U.S. Evolutionary Power Reactor (US-EPR) at this site. UniStar Nuclear Energy, a Delaware limited liability company, is jointly owned by Constellation Energy (CEG) and Électricité de France (EdF), a builder and supplier of nuclear power plants in Europe.

“I am pleased to join the IAEA and take on the leadership of the Agency’s nuclear power technology development activities. Nuclear technology development holds much promise for meeting the challenges of safe and sustainable energy supply for the world”, said Mr. Koshy. “I am impressed by the expertise of the staff and look forward to a productive working environment that will support new and existing nuclear power programmes”, he added.

    by lillymunster 9/16/2011 1:42:50 AM

  • @lillymunster will sarry cope what back up will they have
    by elainekirk 9/16/2011 1:51:13 AM

  • @elainekirk no clue. It didn't say they were completely trashing the other system. I would hope they keep it on hand. I am not sure but I think the areva system is the ones that workers keep getting soaked with beta radiation when they change filters. This might have lots to do with the change. The filter system is idiotic. All this to keep workers out of radiation and they have to manually crawl on the tanks to yank the massively radioactive filters.
