"Follow international standards undermined _ _ low dose exposure! File truth". Well, that was broadcast on NHK on December 28 " track __ __ low dose exposure undermined international standards? file truth "is seen, the ICRP safety standards determined by a deliberate political result and safety the fact that there have come up with serious health problems to residents and that low-dose exposure, that is, in fact safety standards had been reported to be unsafe at all. The ICRP... it had a safety boost is being ignored evidence, and say they determined to promote nuclear power as low as possible. Safety standards determined by the ICRP, he have come from serious damage to the population especially children, ICRP is no exaggeration to say I do not think worked the crime. fujifujinovember.cocolog-nifty.com fujifujinovember.cocolog-nifty.com

  • @Edano , if they were let us say 20 meters from the cars and the dose rate is indeed indicated in microSv/h, the dose at the cars should have been about 12 milliSv/h. That is a lot.

  • @MaryW, I get the impression from photos of the show that they really tear apart the ICRP.
    by Ian 12/31/2011 4:10:20 AM

  • It looks like they're saying the DDREF the ICRP included into risk modeling, and that the National Academy of Sciences adopted as well, is bunk. I was aware of that in my research for my video www.youtube.com and it probably explains why even the NAS risk model seems to underestimate risk.
    by Ian 12/31/2011 4:14:13 AM

  • This is a study that goes against the ICRP's DDREF:

    oem.bmj.com

"Current estimates of cancer risks from LDRMD
exposures are mainly based on risk coefficients
derived from the Japanese atomic bomb survivors,
that is, from persons with acute, high-dose
exposures, which are then combined with a ‘‘dose
    and dose-rate effectiveness factor’’ (DDREF).(2,3)
Values for DDREF have mainly been deduced from
experiments with laboratory animals and from
    radiobiological measurements. Specifically, the
    International Commission on Radiological
Protection (ICRP) derived estimates of the excess
cancer risk after low-dose exposures and after
exposures with higher doses but low-dose rates by
reducing the corresponding risk value for the
atomic bomb survivors by a DDREF of 2.0.(2) The
BEIR VII Committee of the US National Research
    Council used a DDREF of 1.5.(3) […]

The ICRP and BEIR VII base their DDREFs mainly on
radiobiological results including animal data, which, in their
majority, suggest a characteristically low risk for low-dose-rate
exposures. It remains an open question as to why this
characteristic is apparently not reflected in the human
    epidemiological data
    .
