by Jim Carver 4/20/2011 10:16:42 PM

  • jim.. if I have something to add what's the best way to do it
    by dean 4/20/2011 10:17:15 PM

  • This shooting the controller screen technique is nonsense.

by Rob in SF 4/20/2011 10:17:45 PM

  • @dean I haven't gotten yours yet. I'll go do that right now.

  • These guys seem to port the TEPCO videos to YouTube pretty efficiently: www.youtube.com
by Rob in SF edited by elainekirk 4/20/2011 10:20:09 PM

  • @jim what I have done today is put stull in my google docs that I dind thinking you could when you have time go and grab any useful docs .I didnt want to dump them all on you as some may not be relevant
    by elainekirk 4/20/2011 10:20:10 PM

  • @all I have grabbed the number 3 and number 2 core shroud change docs #3 was 1st in world and was replaced 97/98 #2 was 98/99 and number 4 which we dont have yet was being done at the time of the accident. So they put mox in the reactor with a 13yr old experimental core shroud
    by elainekirk 4/20/2011 10:23:50 PM

  • @rob why did tepco do that with the lap[ top?
    by elainekirk 4/20/2011 10:25:43 PM

  • @elainekirk I'll weed it out. Just send what you have. I think I made a mistake with dean's user acct
by Jim Carver 4/20/2011 10:26:30 PM

  • @elainekirk I think they're trying to be forthcoming with info per gov. demands, but this is just silly. They should capture the camera feeds and post those files, not shoot the controller laptop...
by Rob in SF 4/20/2011 10:27:31 PM

  • @rob I think they are being facetious @jim this is #2 core shroud replacement tinyurl.com
    by elainekirk 4/20/2011 10:30:14 PM

  • What's the red skull & crossbones app on the desktop?!

by Rob in SF 4/20/2011 10:30:36 PM

  • @elainekirk K..I've got to get up to speed with the day's developments. That's why I like the evening, it's quiet out here. If the dogs be quiet that is.
by Jim Carver 4/20/2011 10:33:18 PM

  • elaine, do you have the shroud change file www.jsme.or.jp

  • i will now Jim
    by dean 4/20/2011 10:34:54 PM

  • Almost looks like someone intentionally blocked the door with the ladder. Get that ladder Packbot!

by Rob in SF 4/20/2011 10:35:45 PM

  • @dean no I don't have that one is it going in Jims file
    by elainekirk 4/20/2011 10:35:47 PM

    by dean 4/20/2011 10:39:08 PM

  • @dean hello, dean what would the procdure be for employees working in nub four bluilding during a scram... do employees evacuate the reator building during a scram.. and what if there is no fuel in the reactor????
    by fitter 4/20/2011 10:39:54 PM

  • @dean Yeah, just put in folder..appropriate name, etc.
by Jim Carver 4/20/2011 10:40:06 PM

  • On the Japanese Tepco & METI sites - radionuclide analyses followup reports on the isotopes (Nb-95,Te-129, etc) hope this link via google translate works:
    translate.google.com

    or www.meti.go.jp

  • The Skull & Crossbones is part of the Packbot controller software. Could be a kill button for the packbot. Could be an indicator for the rad meter...
by Rob in SF 4/20/2011 10:40:11 PM

  • the yellow skull was 'low' and the image above it was 'creep' this one the image above is 'fast' but ... Ah the radiation? nah...I am stumped
    by elainekirk 4/20/2011 10:41:49 PM

  • @dean Should make another folder instead archive..i.e. top level dir
by Jim Carver 4/20/2011 10:42:16 PM

  • fitter.. at the facility where I worked there are 2 types of evacuations.. "take cover" where you stay put,, the other is "total area evacuation".. each watch stand has a couple of things to do then leave.... in the control room they hit a red button with inserts all control rods and safety rods and shuts the reactor down
    by dean 4/20/2011 10:42:19 PM

  • k
    by dean 4/20/2011 10:42:34 PM

  • @dean like 'current'
by Jim Carver 4/20/2011 10:43:26 PM

  • @Diedre I will add link to marks pin
    by elainekirk 4/20/2011 10:43:46 PM

  • @fitter.. once outside the workers to to an assembly area.. and the EMERGENCY CONTROL CENTER IS MANNED... all non essential workers leave the area
    by dean 4/20/2011 10:43:57 PM

  • I"ll try that @jim
    by dean 4/20/2011 10:44:08 PM

  • @jim should that be under the archive director
    by dean 4/20/2011 10:44:49 PM

  • @elainekirk Sounds like the Skull is a general rad level indicator? Turns red at high rads? Looks like they turned the rad monitor off while working on the ladder at the door, likely saving battery power...
by Rob in SF 4/20/2011 10:45:08 PM

  • @diedre's link is a tepco 're evaluation ' of its numbers !!!
    by elainekirk 4/20/2011 10:45:42 PM

  • @elainekirk - thanks
    by Deirdre 4/20/2011 10:46:17 PM

  • by NorthernCali 4/20/2011 10:47:04 PM

  • @dean I made a folder 'current'. And added the group. So it should work and you should be able to create folders in that dir.
by Jim Carver 4/20/2011 10:48:01 PM

  • @Rob thats a point it will have limited battery time as it wont be able to have much weight so they are restricted on what they can do as if it runs out in no mans land they are nobbled
    by elainekirk 4/20/2011 10:50:28 PM

  • @MOD. Could you pleas put my last posts thru so I can paste to other scrible page. Thank you. ( my figures can't take retyping that on my mobile. )
    by NorthernCali 4/20/2011 10:53:09 PM

  • ok thanks Jim... do the links get displayed there.. or do they have to be imported? I see the facebook icon and then the pdf one
    by dean 4/20/2011 10:53:24 PM

  • @dean That's just storage. If you want something on the web I can put it on the website.
by Jim Carver 4/20/2011 10:55:42 PM

  • Actually they'll be linked together. It's pretty cool. It's a cloud server actually.
by Jim Carver 4/20/2011 10:57:34 PM

  • Seems like Packbots like to work in pairs... ("Nobbled": heh.)
