@peter - correct. From that angle I can tell the dark area we thought might be reactor well is up too high. Going to grab a copy and mark the floor line brb.

Comparing 2 May to 3 May plant parameters, #1 is continuing its slow rise in pressure while other parameters are pretty much stable. #2 shows a bump in SC B CAMS, going from 39 to 47 Sv/hr. #3 core temps are up by 17 and 12C, now at 117C and 135C.

@Askwhy Only been up for 12hrs now. Its 11pm in Japan so it is very dark and well no big lights at the site so not much to see at night.

I think the higher up dark object is the crane beam. The large overhead crane is lying on top of the deck. So either reactor well steam or fuel pool steam floating up behind it giving that illusion.

@Nancy, exactly, if we knew the distance from the yellow line to the floor below in actual mm, we could use that to calibrate the distance from the yellow line up to perhaps the mid height of what we believe is the top of the containment inside the circle.

@Edano They did modifications to the mark 1 units to try to counter the jumping problem. What I read said it could easily jump 8 inches in what they considered a pressure/heat incident. I don't think they took what happened there into account.

@Peter. The yellow line it top of the concrete grid. I can see the next row below it on the wall. About a 7950mm size between floors including the grid itself.

@peter. So the height of the dark object, possibly the crane beam is 1987.5mm roughly. We do know the cap is still on the RPV though (heat images show it is) So the RPV lip can't be that high. The containment reactor well lip is built into the building and can be seen in other views as still part of the deck. I think it is likely the crane beam giving a visual illusion.

@dean Refueling crane? It may have blown apart. There was some small pieces that might be of the deck and railing on the other side of 3 in the rubble. That adds to the SFP blowing up, it destroyed the crane?

I'm not seeing any references to concrete pump truck water injection to #4 after 27 April. I'm also not seeing any references to any other water injection mechanism being used there. ?

@Markfm It is the only known water system at 4. They told the media about watering later in the week but have not looked at the status sheets for it again.

Previously they were injecting water every 2 days, 4 was the longest gap. Now they're at 6 without injection.

@Peter Melzer That is a steam separator and it sits over the rpv cap. If you look at other angles you can't see anything like that and there is one where you see into the reactor well lip itself. www.houseoffoust.com

@dean the abovetopsecret link. I think he might have it half right. The area he had circled as burning roof material is where green mangled items have been seen that look like possibly refueling crane parts. That would add into the blast going off toward that most destroyed corner.

@Nancy -- Beats me, I'm just using the NISA status reports, no listings for water injection on 4 since the 27th. These are the last two entries for #4: - Concrete pump trucks (62m class) to about 85t by discharging a fresh (April 27 - 12:18 14:01/14:32~15:15) 14:01 / 14:32 to 15:15) - Discharge of white smoke could not be confirmed (May 3, 6:30 now).... I see the last injection on the 27th, then the report of "unconfirmed" white smoke as of 3 May.

@Markfm Unit 3's temp is creeping up again, too. and this cryptic statement on atmc.jp regarding unit 4: No. 4 in the absence of inspections stopped reactor fuel assemblies for, are excluded from the list.

@Markfm We are seeing steam or smoke almost daily for a few hours. Between the heat images stopping, no SFP temps listed and the NISA data missing this really looks like they are hiding something. Do we have reliable real time radiation monitoring from really close by? I have to wonder if this is releasing radiation.

@marie rich they are installing the scrubbers, it seemed like the scrubbers and fans system is forcing air to move more. Probably areas that are not clearly open to the environment that are trapping concentrated contaminated air?

@Markfm Tepco has a schmatic showing them using a "tie-in point" at the radioactive wastetreatment building... its ties into the "outlet side of the "filter desalintion Equipment " with a Tie-in to the what they are calling a "sampling line" from the Skimmer Surge Tank", were i found it did not have a link, I just printed the schematic... but it shows the lines running to the SFP (what bld??) and just showed up in the last two days...
