@fitter that is just as scary as can be. It is amazing that he posted it to a blog where it is essentially in the public domain. In terms of the specific statement I think all of us here can automatically assume that TEPCO will not succeed in averting such an event. The fact that it can be placed on a particular date over a week away is interesting. Does anyone have any idea what kind of data set could lead to such a prediction?

@fitter I have sent it to my colleague from work. He is the Vice President (acting President) of our institute and is a former longtime Asahi Shinbun reporter and expert on non-proliferation issues. He is very focused on the politics of the situation, so he may know of Taro Kono or others in the LDP.

@elainekirk pulled a screen capture into photoshop. Comparing other objected with vertical lines. 4 is leaning very much so to the right. It is not an illusion.

so that'll be the 8 days they know it is going down and sunday is day 8? so are they concentrating on number 1 because it is further away and what happens when #3's mox load gets warm?
