Ok @smoss should we go for gold and out predict tepco
for days we watched on a mysterious webcam as #4 slowly leaned over and her sfp on the 8th day could be supported no more and the whole structure keeled over (this can easily happen on the 8th with the addition of water if needed to weigh it down) the world watched in horror as the valiant tepco offficials came on nhk to say sorry before rushing off to cope with the logistcs if running the show from as far away as possible.
Then goj and iaea and nisa and and and all apppeared in the studio in tepco execs basement to announce (in a weeping fashion) that they were going to have to dump in the ocean......

@ralph there is a very goo blogger living up in the hills I should imagine many people living up there would happilly have a webcam running but surely it is too radioactive to actually be living there is it on remote control do you think ?
by elainekirk 5/6/2011 8:05:03 AM

yes @ralph
by elainekirk 5/6/2011 8:06:15 AM

@edano they can't do that it would indicate there was a problem and we all know tepco have everything under their control including government and international agency

from @veenie's link
A different worker said angrily: "I asked my employer about the details of my employment contract, including what compensation will be paid when I am exposed to high-level radiation. But I have not received a reply. Such an attitude is not one that should be taken toward people who are working so hard in such dangerous places. "

@ralph ''and billions of euros in new taxes relating to the lifetime extensions for nuclear power stations in Germany."
It is easy to see how governments prefer to pander to a corporate taxpayer than the electorate far less effort per dollar/euro/yen etc
by elainekirk 5/6/2011 9:59:01 AM

well Scotland just went totally to the anti nuke party in the polls
by elainekirk 5/6/2011 10:09:18 AM
