@radioguy Thanks for the answer, i do not think they are able to recycle the pured water, it is too hot for that and wouldn't help cool. furthermore, we would be swseeing constant rise from Trenches.wouldn't you think ?

I had that image in my head superimposed with the worklight shot from the night before, where you could see the girderwork inside R4 and it was troubling that I I have only a vague image of what the SFP was sitting on. Nothing, it seems.

Has anyone seen a measurement of the width or height of the reactor buildings? I've seen a half dozen blueprints (none of which match up with the location of the #4 and #3 reactors in their buildings) but none have height or width measures that I've seen.

I don't expect it to be in 2, 3 is too easy a pick with the temps going crazy, maybe take 1 as the dark horse -- it's acting best behaved, but I still really wonder how good the RPV is, temps are above 100C, and with the added water...

the fukushima accident has presented the nuclear industry with the most complicated challenge in history, the accident has gone further in reality than any code analysis could predict which finds the most brilliant minds trying to hypothesize what the current state is, what affect any further actions or recover efforts will be seen, trying to exact the chemistry and neutronics of solutions/configurations in the reactor or SPF or other parts of the facility .. new unchartered territory each day

what I like Jim.. we can collectively come together and try, with each of our toughts and areas of expertise and come to some plausible theories.. and as things change, there are those who dig and find out data to help take us forward.... I love it about that with all of us.. it's amazing..

Oh no, it's like Clue eh? Wow...tough call (which is scary in its own right.) Reactor 3 in the boiler room with ... no, you know, I'm going to have to go with the Markfm scenario, R4 SFP in a good solid shake, or just a design failure collapse. Fitting somehow.

well.. I'm sticking with my original thinking,,, filling all the volumes with water up to a level that covers fuel, establish HVAC and purification systems AND sit for complete cooldown,,, in the interim.. clean up the area of debris and work on a plan for containing the area above the SFP and main floor area.... at the present time.. I believe 1 then 3.... Sunday, big surprise instore for going into the containment buildings..if they are able to clear the air activity levels.... still have the gamma

@all It would be a miracle for them to pull it off w/o anything else really bad. The odds are not good. But it will find it's way into the sea iac.
