@RBeaner i agree that goggle is free, but puts out information that is impossible to follow... and I am concerded that due to the flow of the Japanese langauge it may interpet technical information in reverse or inncorrectly... causing bad data.... it appears that a lot of the english information is done or dwindling.... not knowing much about computors and software do you know if there is anything reasonable that perticularly can handle tech info...

Hi all! @ fitter - agree with you about google translator. I posted something yesterday on the other page which was translated by google & referred to a 'worker taking a bomb in to #1 turbine building!

@UKVal Someone suggested doing that as a joke on this forum one time and it started a big fight. Some people around here used to be itching for a fight, but I think they're all gone now.

there speach pattern is reverse of english to begin with and I thibk when goggle translates tech info it shows an oppiste answwer.... I have been trying to figure out if they have 6 4" steam lines or 4 6" steam lines.... I now know its four, so must be 6 diamter pipie

@fitter I saw one where the reading was zero, but then after I looked at it a little closer, it meant that the reading was off the scale.

@fitter Good question. For windows have to google around. I use an open source app for Linux polytranslate, not sure if that's available for windows.

The article I was referring to was a press release. I think the 'bomb' was a mistranslation for oxygen tank!

wierd -8mins ago tippycam showed pitch black & floodlight buildings. Now lights have gone & predawn light. Transition seems too qiuck. Anyone else seeing this?

@UKVal: That's what I was thinking of even yesterday. One moment there is pitch black dark. and withing 15 minutes.it's all bright..Strange if not suspicious.

@jim there is a vast area of flat land covered by fuku I cant think of anywhere along our extinct volcanic coastline that there is so much flat land and yet there is no sign of them having blasted away the rockface. Sorry if I am sounding a bit daft but it is niggling at me
