Stricken nuclear reactors in Japan will be covered by giant tents
Polyester tents will be placed over Japan's stricken nuclear reactors in a bid to try and contain the escape of radioactive substances into the atmosphere.

Next month Tokyo Electric Power Co. (TEPCO) will start work on installing the first cover at the No.1 reactor in Fukishima, which has been the focus of recent stabilization efforts.

@elainekirk The translation is quite broken up. The jist I got is that it is reasonable.... The problem is that it is a calculation we would use in a "questionable" dose to a worker. Someone who was exposed in a way they should not be. We prefer to reduce the Internal dose to Zero, and use devices to measure external/whole body dose.

@you cited by 17...LOL.. I am refering to " is there a data point, a sample result, anywhere, that has significant TE-129 levels? That was a scholarly article about TE-129, but not in any way related to Fukushima.

@Bobby1 Thank you for the specific links to data. I see normal fluctuations in backround leves of beta-gamma gross measurements. Radioactivity involves randomness, and will fluctuate within known parameters. Filtered air samples are required to detect particulate radionuclides and "charcoal" filters are required to detect gasseous radionuclides. The Gross beta-gamma is not a sample, but a common inference that everything is ok
