  • @Panserbjorne9 My favorite line from that NISA release:

    "Reactor Buildings:
Based on the weight condition considering the partial damage
to the buildings and its falling down... "
    by radioguy 5/13/2011 10:58:44 PM

  • @radioguy , only #1 does not seem to want to steam from the containment cap, at least not that we could see any steam rising from under the roof. or am I wrong?
by Peter Melzer 5/13/2011 11:00:39 PM

  • "TEPCO To Put Cover Over Reactors", and what good is that going to do? A tarp will not keep the steam in when they vent, or it will blow up like a baloon, the REAL reason they want a tarp over the reactors is for PR problems. Nobody can then see what's really going on there !!!

    by Edano 5/13/2011 11:20:58 PM

  • that NISA release -don't know if it's he translation but it reads like it's from a parallel universe in which all the reactors just need a bit of TLC & shoring up & all will be well.

    by Mart 5/13/2011 11:47:58 PM

    by LM 5/13/2011 11:50:31 PM

  • is smoke/steam seeping from the base of #1?
    by elainekirk 5/13/2011 11:57:07 PM

  • @elainekirk I was looking at that as well......I can't make out if its a reflection or steam..
    by Angie 5/13/2011 11:58:16 PM

  • I definitely can see some at base and also at the top. The smoke at top appears to be blowing down and out to sea.
    by LM 5/13/2011 11:58:41 PM
