  • Hi Nancy and LM. I met a friend of mine here at the conference, a scholar from Fukuoka who is a hibakusha expert. I've talked to her several times before. She is the first person that I have met in Japan that is as tuned into the Fukushima situation as we are.
    by bo 5/27/2011 8:12:56 PM

  • @Nancy i guess its al relavent, beats the alternitive

    by fitter 5/27/2011 8:14:55 PM

  • But I asked her several questions about Japanese perceptions and she was very informed. I think she will be a very good resource to understand things inside the Japanese press and general conversation that can aid our grasp of the situation as it evolves.
    by bo 5/27/2011 8:15:05 PM

  • @bo that is great news
    by elainekirk 5/27/2011 8:16:54 PM

  • @Bo That's great news. The more Japanese who have their eyes open....the better!
    by LM 5/27/2011 8:17:30 PM

    by fitter 5/27/2011 8:17:48 PM

  • @elainekirk, even though she is traveling away from Japan to this conference in Germany, she was very up to date on the days developments. I need to ask her what her sources of information in Japanese are.
    by bo 5/27/2011 8:17:49 PM

  • @bo that is really fortunate meeting itwill really help to keep us informed

  • @fitter I found the one on TEPCO's website, did you see it on that one or the images on IAEA?
    by Nancy 5/27/2011 8:23:38 PM

  • @Nancy IAEA LOOKS LIKE REFLECTION FROM FRAMING
    by fitter 5/27/2011 8:25:02 PM

  • @Panserbjorne9, as to the increased rad. exposure of birds around the plant, song birds generate the nerve cells that control the singing by cell division from stem cells anew every spring. The cells then grow the appropriate connections. I wonder whether the song of local song birds is different this year. This is not difficult to find out. One needs to examine the sound spectra of song recordings.
by Peter Melzer 5/27/2011 8:25:20 PM

  • @fitter, is it in this image?
