one for Dean INL Sends Robots to Japan's Radiation Site Idaho Falls, Idaho -- Idaho nuclear experts are measuring radiation in Japan using robots.
The Idaho National Laboratory sent what's called a Talon Robot to Sendai to help map the radiation contamination around the failed Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant.
INL says the robot has the capability to take radiation readings and stamp them with a GPS location, then map the entire area using Google Earth.

Fish near Fukushima have cesium
Radioactive cesium 25 times above the legal limit for consumption was detected Wednesday in young sand lance caught off Fukushima Prefecture, the health ministry said.
One of the sampled fish tested for cesium had 12,500 becquerels per kg.
It was caught about 500 meters off Iwaki and 35 km from the crippled Fukushima No. 1 nuclear power station, it said. The limit for cesium is 500 becquerels under the Food Sanitation Law.

@NHK Listener I wonder if we will see any images out of this fly over. We only got bad video stills from the last one and a few good shots far away from the reactors. They never released more from that one. They are holding back information. TEPCO executives have been hesitant about presenting a clear direction on compensation because of fears the total could balloon endlessly if provisional payments start before clear compensation guidelines are established.

Tenzig asked about this image yesterday. It is behind reactor 4 further inland from the row of reactors. There were some red objects. So the question was what are they. The top left red things appear to be some sort of equipment or storage boxes half put under an awning. The other red objects appear to be semi circular pieces of either the same material as the red boxes or rusty pieces of pipe sliced in half or something else that has that shape. @Bobby1 I'd be willing to bet that the April findings are coming from Fukushima, no matter how big a smokescreen they're trying to put up.
