@ALBLEE That would be interesting, but only easy if the globalincident map gives back dating, because the USGS site, while comprehensive, is not nearly as useful a visual format for pattern discernment. Of course, typical of most government sites, that tool may well be there and hidden somewhere down in SectionC sub1, sub a of some page ;)

[Yeah, right, @radioguy. I was thinking that, if there was a tool to compare swarm patterns across various timeslices, then the USGS would probably have it, and these guys would be ringing alarm bells if warranted. But that doesn't mean we are being concerned over nothing. - Alblee]

As of 12th April, 2011 Fukushima Dai-ichi has released 3.7x10^20 Bq It is estimated Chernobyl released 5.2x10^21 Bq or about 7% of Chernobyl's. Officials state that Fukushima could eclipse that.

More problems for Tokyo Electric. Another one of their nuke plants, in Niigata Prefecture, started smoking. The smoke came from a control panel.

The Kashiwazaki-Kariwacc nuclear plant is located on the west side of Honshu, opposite where the March 11, 9.0 quake hit.

Check out this link about "cold fusion". I posted yesterday but it was overlooked. This is not interesting news I guess because a)it is not a disaster b)it is not used in military. But it doesn't produce nuclear waste and any form of radiation emission ceases with the device shutdown. Who knows, in a few years you might run your car with it pesn.com
