@Edano Your misunderstanding I think. GoJ made a vague decree of "illegal information" and defined it as anything including "rumor" because they felt it was detrimental to the country. Assange is being pursued because he possessed classified documents. The GoJ is going to have a VERY tough time getting any IP to cooperate with them in terms of erasing Fukushima data from the Internet. Secondly, by now anyone with any interest in the nuclear disaster has copied anything and everything they need. - @LM, it looks more like it taken off a monitor, the reflection looks like a room somewhere else. If it was taken from a window in the unit behind the robot, the pic is too close to the robot, would have to be in the same room as it. Rather, it looks like it is off the monitor screen of the robot operator, and that is the robot joystick on the upper right corner.by wtm 4/19/2011 7:50:57 PM

Keep in mind Limerick was recently rated the third most likely nuclear power plant in the US to be vulnerable to an earthquake. Risk of eq leading to a core event was recently recalculated to be 1:18,800. - @jay : no, really, they blackout every serious information, and then they tell us fairytales about flooding buildings, anti-radiation-sponges and anti-radiation-curtains, anti-radiation dams, they tell us that in 6 month the people can return to the site and they show us photos of robots in a septical clean room and say the lens is blind due to radiation, while you can see to humans in the reflection. they tell us everything is safe. they falsify thermal images. we should beware of those liars, we are no children who believe in santa claus. this is worse than the chernobyl information. i know this is tech and news, but i am really upset. i have to leave for a while. i only want to say: be cautious, scribblers ! they are fooling you !by Edano 4/19/2011 8:09:10 PM
- @James Ward They did a practice run on 5 before trying the more damaged reactors. Both the media and tepco are saying those images are from 3 and 2, the one with them going in the doors is supposedly from 3. For those that have an interest in how Risk Assessments/Risk Analysis on nuke plants are done, I found this: Procedures for the External Event Core Damage Frequency Analyses for NUREG-1150 It covers both the Surry and the Peach Bottom plants. Although the nuclear sewage dump witnessed on television across Japan that evening was the single discharge authorized by the Russian Navy that year, ensuing reports by journalists and environmental organizations and information supplied by the Russian government revealed the waste dumping practices had been the Pacific Fleet's open policy for more than 20 years and were generally carried out as many as three times a year.
Further, it was revealed by a Greenpeace report that Russian submarine commanders were ordered to jettison cooling water from the 2nd, 3rd and 4th reactor circuits at sea, before arriving at the harbour.
"This was not being done secretly — the news just never reached the Japanese Government, and Japan was shocked," said Junichi Yuba, 35, acting director for the Technical Secretariat of the Japan-Russia Committee for Cooperation in Reducing Nuclear Weapons, an operation run under the auspices of the Japanese Foreign Ministry.
"This news came as a huge impact for the Japanese people because we realized that fisheries and the resources would be affected — it's just like the Norwegians [who fought nuclear contamination from the Russian Navy to protect their own Arctic fishing waters]," Yuba told Bellona Web in a recent interview in Vladivostok.
As a result, Yuba and a representative of Japan's Ministry of Foreign affairs, who asked that his name be uses, said that Japan's Fishing Association applied pressure on the ministry to stem further contamination.......
