  • @Tenzing : good to know. higgins is very interesting.
    by Edano 4/22/2011 2:31:12 PM

  • @Jim Carver I have no idea Jim. Maybe if you check out the link to the EPA site I posted below you could run your own search and find an explanation - sorry
    by Tenzing 4/22/2011 2:32:43 PM

  • @Tenzing It's bogus. You can't emit anti-matter, well sometimes a positron, or be absorbing particles of substances that emit particles. Or somebody explain how the laws of physics are working in reverse.
by Jim Carver 4/22/2011 2:34:56 PM

  • @Jim Carver @Tenzing - a negative number means that the zero has been changed. This is evidence that the EPA is cooking the books. If you think of a interger scale they just moved the zero to 100 so anything that reads below that is a negative number. The meter may be zeroed with a known radioactive contamination so that anything below this known contamination level reads negative. Wow Jim, anti-matter?
    by Lethbridgean 4/22/2011 2:36:53 PM

  • @Nancy: www.mext.go.jp has the current series of dust measurements, from 3/22 through today
    by Markfm 4/22/2011 2:37:20 PM

  • @Lethbridgean Thank You :)
    by Tenzing 4/22/2011 2:37:42 PM

  • @Jim Carver anti-matter ????
    by Edano 4/22/2011 2:37:55 PM

  • @Markfm thanks, they move the URL.
    by Nancy 4/22/2011 2:38:13 PM

  • @Lethbridgean Thanks Leth. So it really is bogus. Cool.
by Jim Carver 4/22/2011 2:38:23 PM

  • beam me up, Jim Carver ;)
    by Edano 4/22/2011 2:39:08 PM

  • @Edano A positron is anti-matter.
by Jim Carver 4/22/2011 2:39:24 PM

  • @Lethbridgean Yep. Metering is only as reliable as the person/agency reporting the numbers.
    by radioguy 4/22/2011 2:39:30 PM

  • This is the main page, to then go to the different radiation monitoring sub-pages: www.mext.go.jp (it's in the wiki Links page)

  • @edano This is so far from over. I keep hoping the mainstream media will pay more attention and I'm continually disappointed.
    by LM 4/22/2011 3:50:54 PM

  • @Bobby1 If you have a google (or gmail) account go to google docs docs.google.com On the left side is a pair of buttons "create new" or "upload" Upload lets you upload and convert a document on your computer and puts it on google docs. Then you jut set sharing to public with the sharing button on the right

  • Perhaps you should consider a dropbox archive - set up across a handful of trusted individuals for write access, everyone else read. Syncronized copies would physically reside in potentially unlimited numbers of locations (perhaps use a removable storage medium vs. putting it on your system drive).
