  • @elainekirk it was messing with my head :-)
    by Nancy 4/22/2011 10:35:20 PM

  • @Majjham Zazen so did they pick up anything on the trip that wasn't being reported?
    by Nancy 4/22/2011 10:35:45 PM

  • @elainekirk Going to give it a read. Maybe it is just the FUKUSHIMA SPA opening up their steam bath?
    by Nancy 4/22/2011 10:36:46 PM

  • Sorry I' tired. the correct link is : twitter.com!/rdtnprobes
by Majjham Zazen 4/22/2011 10:37:10 PM

  • @Nancy it is called mistrust I just cannot look at their cam and take it at face value lol
    by elainekirk 4/22/2011 10:37:40 PM

  • I'm not managing.... They do Twitters It twitter one locatiom link to a Photo of the megerment... Probes RDTN.org

  • @Nancy They could've had a hydrogen explosion over the last 2-3 days and we'd never know it......at least until they managed to release updated photos 2 months from now.
    by LM 4/22/2011 10:40:19 PM

  • Now I tink I got proper. have to have a Twitter account to see the links I think. twitter.com!/rdtnprobes Moderator please erase the old posts. Sorry for the mess
by Majjham Zazen 4/22/2011 10:43:12 PM

  • @LM no new anything other than reports is got me wondering. It is like a couple of little kids, you know something is up when they get quiet.
    by Nancy 4/22/2011 10:43:27 PM

  • So true!
    by LM 4/22/2011 10:43:49 PM

  • @VeenOui No I didn't. The last shot I saw yesterday was the 3:00pm one and I just assumed there was major fog from the bad weather.
    by LM 4/22/2011 10:47:19 PM

  • @VeenOui i saw that. also now 2 blue hue spots on the cam at night. They started spraying #3 with a crane yesterday. Trying not to be paranoid but the sudden lack of info and changes in what we can see is worrysome. I don't think anyone found anything new in the reactor stats though.
    by Nancy 4/22/2011 10:47:50 PM

  • @Nancy Well, usually they update live at 8 am on NHK, so about 10 min away.
    by VeenOui 4/22/2011 10:49:54 PM

  • I wonder how TEPCO on-site staff are doing. By now I suspect many are ill. I would like to reach out to them to let them know we are thinking of them and hoping they have some comfort. I would like to know their names, where they are from and if they have family. We respect their efforts and their bravery under horrible conditions.
    by Deirdre 4/22/2011 10:50:44 PM

  • @LM Yes, there was massive fog and it finally cleared around 5 i think, that's when the steam was visible again and at 5- 6 full b
    by VeenOui 4/22/2011 10:51:35 PM

  • @VeenOui Wow. I had no idea. I figured it stayed socked in. I wonder if that's why they're intending to drop a waterproof camera into #4 to check the level of damage?
    by LM 4/22/2011 10:53:40 PM

  • they seem socked in weather.in.msn.com
    by Nancy 4/22/2011 10:55:54 PM

  • I am posting last nights pictures where we thought it was smoke and than steam
    by VeenOui 4/22/2011 10:57:44 PM

  • this was taken 25hrs ago my screenshot doesnt have the tepco time because my screen was scrolled but that is dense smoke

  • @Elaine True. It looks really black above #4 and lots of steam/smoke from the others.
    by LM 4/22/2011 11:01:58 PM

  • @VeenOui two trails of smoke coincide with where the two glow spots were on last night's (this morning) dark shots
    by Nancy 4/22/2011 11:06:48 PM

  • also on the night shots there was a glowing line right where that smoke is
    by elainekirk 4/22/2011 11:06:56 PM

  • @nancy lol posted at same time
    by elainekirk 4/22/2011 11:07:17 PM

  • Ok, they just said, that they cannot remove debris around 1-2-3 due to high radioactivity..they are using Robots to clean up...but particularly in #3 they cannot get close as it has the highest levels.SO NO WAY forthem to read water levels with cam's etc if they cannot even get close.make up your minds for gods sakes....the jpn language barrier is horrible.
Water level decreased 7 cm since tuesday in trench......no word on meter readings anywhere ??!
    by VeenOui 4/22/2011 11:09:04 PM

  • radio guy grabbed one of those shots and blacked out where the glows were and they are right where the smoke starts so 3 & 4. SFP? TEPCO said they are adding instruments to the watering booms and now a camera into 4 SFP. Something is up with those two. Do we get SFP temps in the status reports?
    by Nancy 4/22/2011 11:09:32 PM

  • @elainekirk www.docstoc.com
    Flash wouldn't open for me.
by Jim Carver 4/22/2011 11:10:39 PM

  • Today they said they tried to cool 3 and sprayed it for an hour , if the area is highly contaminated they may have been using jumpers and just tried to keep the mox unit cool. Re contamination I saw this theory earlier you need to go link to see diagram (physics forums ) www.physicsforums.com
    by elainekirk 4/22/2011 11:10:44 PM

  • @jim link goes to home page is that right?
    by elainekirk 4/22/2011 11:11:55 PM

  • @elainekirk a technical explanation for what I was crudely guessing at last night. Wondering if there was some sort of saturation causing things to bubble up. So if the water bubbling up is radioactive then wouldn't all that freshwater be too?
    by Nancy 4/22/2011 11:14:35 PM

  • @Nancy it just has to be they are making soup and the mox with I bet now be spreading across the site
    by elainekirk 4/22/2011 11:17:10 PM

  • @elainekirk Yes it does. I have flash block and I click the 'f' and it just spins forever. Tried it twice. Overloaded? Or just loaded!:)
by Jim Carver 4/22/2011 11:17:59 PM

  • @Nancy @VeenOui If the fuel rods in the SFPs of 3&4 are actively burning it would explain the glow at night and the smoke during the day...not to mention the urgency to get water levels up.
    by LM 4/22/2011 11:19:18 PM

  • Guys, we just had a small but directly on fault EQ.PRELIM: M2.5 23:08 4/22 33.8N 116.2W 11 km NE of Indio, CA SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA Z=5km CI 10931213 52ce7

    by VeenOui 4/22/2011 11:20:17 PM

  • @Jim my comp doesnt like docstop probably because my bullguard doesnt let flash sites through automatically bullguard treats flash like my dog treats the postman
    by elainekirk 4/22/2011 11:22:58 PM

  • @NHK Listener I trust the NRC about as much as Tapco now. They reached some kind of a deal probably when Clinton got over there.
by Jim Carver 4/22/2011 11:23:18 PM

  • @nhk says it all !!
