  • Missed you, fellow bloggers. Can anybody tell me if there exists a visual summary of reactor data, like the unicamp.br site www.ic.unicamp.br used to publish (but their graphs haven't been updated since April 27th) or the Fukushima Data Page fukushimadatapage.com (which was last updated with April 15th data)?
    by Sky 5/3/2011 10:06:08 PM

  • @talisker Thanks from me too re the very useful video commentary.

  • @Ralph Unger I got a short reply, the vid in the link doesn't load for some reason but the text below it is indeed about the air filter in #1. They are planning to go in with oxygen masks to install the system on 5th of May. In #2 the humidity is very high and they need to reduce humidity and contaminated water, then install the air filter in order to work inside. There are no plans for #3 yet due to the high radiation of the debris.

  • TY Tal, It is still OK in my browser, Chrome.
by Ralph Unger 5/3/2011 10:34:20 PM

  • But I am not going through a Japanese provider for my internet.
by Ralph Unger 5/3/2011 10:35:55 PM

  • me neither;) crappy flash, it's just that the clip didn't play at first, after a couple of attempts it worked. Honestly though, I doubt Japanese providers are censoring content.
    by talisker 5/3/2011 10:48:12 PM

  • @Sky - www.gengikyo.jp is quite useful (and fairly up to date).

    by elainekirk 5/4/2011 12:12:04 AM

  • @elainekirk Getting into the outer building might be possible but I think they will still be facing pretty good doses to do it. Getting into the containment is what becomes really concerning.
    by Nancy 5/4/2011 12:14:35 AM

  • I wonder if the "sticky concrete" in the Ieee.org link is the bentonite Marie suggested a day or two ago?
    by Nancy 5/4/2011 12:16:30 AM

  • @nancy I havent read it yet
    by elainekirk 5/4/2011 12:16:58 AM

  • If they clean the air in unit 1, does that mean particles are removed? Won't there still be RAY-diation?
    by Scilla 5/4/2011 12:20:21 AM
