  • @Jim Carver I have noticed that as well. I thick we're being "played" by more than one team. Money is always the prime motivator, unfortunately.

4 die after eating beef at barbecue restaurant

Japan's health ministry is investigating a series of food poisoning incidents in which four people died after eating raw beef served by a barbecue restaurant chain.

The food poisoning occurred at restaurants of the Yakiniku-zakaya Ebisu chain in Toyama and Fukui prefectures. Of the four victims, two were young boys and two others adult women. Dozens of other customers fell sick in other prefectures.

Health authorities say the O-111 strain of E. coli bacteria was detected in the bodies of the two boys.

Sources say the beef served at the restaurants was processed by a meat wholesaler in Tokyo exclusively for the barbecue chain.

The meat processor told health ministry officials that the beef was sliced, vacuum-packed and stored in refrigerators.

The wholesaler also told health authorities that the meat was meant to be eaten after being cooked.

But the restaurant chain says the wholesaler told it that the meat was also safe to be served in raw beef dishes.

  • @cat if that link from Markfm also doesn't work for you, what browser are you using? Make sure your Flash plugin is up to date (and fwiw, if you happen to use Chrome it always will be).

Also, most of the timecodes people keep reporting are not time of day, but time since the stream started or was last interrupted. Each link to the stream has it's own time for that...
    by Askwhy 5/5/2011 1:16:11 AM

  • ...or rather, each place the stream is hosted

  • @Askwhy Not that I look at it that much, but they usually come out at the top of the hour. The last one was 10:00 AM

  • @Jim Carver the hourly still frames, yes -- but the live feed has
numbers like 485:05:13 or 622:30 (as mentioned below)

by Jim Carver 5/5/2011 1:22:07 AM
