  • i keep looking
    by me 6/10/2011 8:49:51 PM

  • @LM That was around the time this started or right after?
    by lillymunster 6/10/2011 8:52:08 PM

  • @lillymunster Sure was...it defy
    by LM 6/10/2011 8:52:59 PM

  • Definitely got worse after that....
    by LM 6/10/2011 8:53:21 PM

  • @LM So did the steam start before 3:33 or at some point after?
    by lillymunster 6/10/2011 8:54:11 PM

  • for those watching who don't know the webcam addy this is the tepco webcam www.tepco.co.jp
    by elainekirk 6/10/2011 8:55:52 PM

  • @lillymunster I just went back and checked..I first commented about it at 2:34am Japan time and it had been steaming even before that.
    by LM 6/10/2011 8:56:07 PM

  • It got progressively worse....
    by LM 6/10/2011 8:57:11 PM

  • @all I am not familiar with "chemical removal" agents, such as zeolite. My experience was always filtration and ion exchangers. What I can say, was they concentrated the radioactivity by multiples of 100%. The whole purpose of this sludge mass or filtration is to concentrate radioactivity. That hugely increases the radiation level
    by RBeaner 6/10/2011 8:58:33 PM

  • @nancy I dont know if deb is recording but wolf is
    by elainekirk 6/10/2011 8:59:01 PM

  • this should be the 4am pic from stillcam, i found it in my browsercache www.abload.de

    by Dude via Abload.de 6/10/2011 9:02:54 PM

  • @LM This has happened before where we get a steam event starting and then we get a quake. This may sound really loopy but I have to wonder about the possibility of corium hitting ground water causing both the steam and the EQs. But I would think the EQ would then show centered at the plant and I don't think that is the case. Could they be getting small fore-shocks?
    by lillymunster 6/10/2011 9:07:44 PM

  • @Dude: Ty. As you can see in this pic port, horizon sea and cliff behind plant is seeable. So there isn't any fog at Daiichi at that time. meanwhile
all was steam in the TEPCO Livecam.
    by estacion 6/10/2011 9:07:53 PM

  • Really steam down floating over the NPP.
    by estacion 6/10/2011 9:09:25 PM

  • @lillymunster I have no idea..this quake was off the coast for sure. It certainly didn't help the situation at the plant because the steam got significantly worse after it.
    by LM 6/10/2011 9:10:34 PM

  • @lillymunster I suspect there could have been shocks before it. When we get postings from Veenie and others not all of them make it to USGS..not sure why.
    by LM 6/10/2011 9:11:45 PM

  • are they spraying again if you look where second tower meets trees there is the green spray color in the air ? possible there is new debris??
    by elainekirk 6/10/2011 9:12:27 PM

  • i52.tinypic.com
For cross-reference, a 4.00am still from the TEPCO stream.

    by es via I52.tinypic 6/10/2011 9:14:25 PM

  • Not sure Elaine. They were spraying those bushes a day or 2 ago with the green goo...maybe that's it.
    by LM 6/10/2011 9:15:00 PM

  • here 4am with high contrast low brightness looks like fog over the see and steam?! over the plant but weew this is now highly speculative www.abload.de

    by Dude via Abload.de 6/10/2011 9:15:05 PM

  • @es it is so useful you having this record
    by elainekirk 6/10/2011 9:15:47 PM

  • @elainekirk Mostly it works and I'm happy to share it.
    by es 6/10/2011 9:17:54 PM

  • Now, how interesting is this !!
I finally took the time to check Background Stat's on links etc.
7% of Links clicked "the stuff that goes through Twitter / FB is directly from Japan.
Upon further digging, I found this site mentioning our stuff...
A Geiger Counter site "japan" sub domain, for sure they have been posting at times, whatever was Fed through our SimplyInfo Channels.
    japan.failedrobot.com
So, while there is no benefit for helping, I want you to know, that your Help "ElaineK" is being observed ))
    by Veenie 6/10/2011 9:19:07 PM

  • @all I'm not sure if this is relevant but earlier this morning when I first noticed 4 spewing there was a bright flash just to the right of the stack in front of 3. It freaked me out at the time and remained a bright spot with what looked like it's own steam generation. It concerned me but I figured I was just seeing things. It was after this that the steam/smoke got much worse. Don't know if there is any connection and I don't know what would be in that area. Any thoughts?
    by LM 6/10/2011 9:20:31 PM

  • @LM : The flah you had seen was portables torchs they have switching on to see something. I saw them too.
    by estacion 6/10/2011 9:23:20 PM

  • @estacion Thanks..The steam/smoke was really going then so they probably needed a better look!
    by LM 6/10/2011 9:25:35 PM

  • @LM I'd like to know what's up there too. There's been loads of steam/smoke from back there since the 'cylinder explosion' reported near unit 4 earlier in the week. The smoke has seemed to be coming from beyond the reactor buildings, to the south west.
    by es 6/10/2011 9:25:37 PM

  • @Veenie Don't downput your or anyother input. Everything propounded here is of value. Some people, hopefully in Japan, are getting all this info.
    by RBeaner 6/10/2011 9:25:48 PM

  • @LM Do you remember the light show people were talking about weeks ago? I think Hudebnik has details documented in the FAQ Wiki from the previous event. I seem to always miss them. Seeing it on the TEPCO cam removes some of the doubts about the incident seen on the TBS cam.
    by lillymunster 6/10/2011 9:25:50 PM

  • Maybe webcam watchers will recognise these 2 gizmodo.com

    by elainekirk 6/10/2011 9:26:22 PM

  • OMG, I cannot write a single freaking sentence on this board without being dissected..
I shared GOOD NEWS..jeesus......I guess, i just have to stay away from here altogether, i cannot handle anymore misinterpretations !
    by Veenie 6/10/2011 9:29:25 PM

  • @lillymunster I do remember. It definitely removes doubts from me as well although I think in some of the other instances fog rolled in late and stole the show...if you know what I mean. In this case I think it's similar, only I'm not sure if it's all fog this time and perhaps instead a ton of steam!
    by LM 6/10/2011 9:29:38 PM

  • @veenie thank you for that good news :)
    by elainekirk 6/10/2011 9:30:42 PM

  • By the way...when I mention fog...even in this instance...if there is any it came after the smoke/steam.
    by LM 6/10/2011 9:30:43 PM

  • @elainekirk Thanks for the pooch rescue story.
    by Diane_NJ 6/10/2011 9:32:41 PM

  • HI TO ALL.. BACK FOR A BIT...any explosions?
    by dean 6/10/2011 9:36:04 PM

  • hi Veenie..

  • ty lilly
    by dean 6/10/2011 9:38:36 PM

  • Hi Dean! Lots of steam/smoke...something seems different today, but can't see much on cam yet.
    by LM 6/10/2011 9:38:40 PM

  • @Dude : could it be that your pic is from 7:00pm? pictures are taken only from 5:00am to 7:00pm and here it is the image from yesterday: fucamfu.brainkiller.org
    by me 6/10/2011 9:40:00 PM

  • good info and that one photo looks like the wall is scorched
    by dean 6/10/2011 9:41:19 PM

  • elaine.. I wonder if that coincides with the radiation peaks at the ~24 hour frequency we were seeing
    by dean 6/10/2011 9:43:57 PM

  • @me
yep can be so i found it from safari previev history safari saves regular previes as snapshots from my bookmarks. it says 4:52 thou www.abload.de
