  • OK I know that there is absolutely no mox whatsoever anywhere but reactor 3 cos tepco told us but just for the record the cladding on mox fuel burns with a pale grey smoke
    by elainekirk 6/10/2011 11:01:28 PM

  • Video have been deleted because its too long... what a waste of bandwidth... *censored*
    by WolfDK 6/10/2011 11:01:48 PM

  • @wolf that is not good :(
    by elainekirk 6/10/2011 11:02:29 PM

  • @Elaine I think Dean said that all cladding burns with gray smoke...but I could be wrong.
    by LM 6/10/2011 11:02:54 PM

  • @elainekirk Wait have an idea... Just remembered a place to upload the raw video..
    by WolfDK 6/10/2011 11:03:56 PM

  • @WolfDK I use windows live movie maker to cut the recordings for YT, you can upload directly from that as well.
    by deb 6/10/2011 11:04:27 PM

  • @Edano Those Ibaraki readings are from rooftops. Here are some more realistic ones: translate.google.com translate.google.com .45 - .65 uSv/hr is more like reality than .20 uSv/hr.
    by Bobby1 6/10/2011 11:05:43 PM

  • @Bobby1 : yep, but there is a rising tendency. i saw the wind blowing south in the night videos.
    by Edano 6/10/2011 11:07:52 PM

  • @deb Again does not work well on Ubuntu, and 10 mins will yield 6 videos of the timeframe.. I am in the progress of uploading the raw video to a public homepage, there you can all download it if you wish
    .
    by WolfDK 6/10/2011 11:11:51 PM

  • @Edano The rooftop readings reflect what is falling from the sky, rather than what's on the ground, so yeah.
    by Bobby1 6/10/2011 11:14:01 PM

  • @Edano The mobile SPEEDI shows a nice graph spanning a day : www.bousai.ne.jp
    by WolfDK 6/10/2011 11:16:05 PM

  • @WolfDK maybe it's the rain.
    by Edano 6/10/2011 11:18:44 PM

  • Thought the same thing, what was the nights wind direction at fuku ?
    by WolfDK 6/10/2011 11:19:49 PM

  • steam went south.
    by Edano 6/10/2011 11:21:41 PM

  • Video will stay up there for a day or 2, so please download if you want to preserve it
    by WolfDK 6/10/2011 11:25:08 PM

  • @wolf I will pin that when it moves down the board
    by elainekirk 6/10/2011 11:26:00 PM

    by WolfDK 6/10/2011 11:26:43 PM

    by WolfDK 6/10/2011 11:27:29 PM

    by WolfDK 6/10/2011 11:30:05 PM

  • @WolfDK thx very much for the vid
    by Dude 6/10/2011 11:34:44 PM

  • I think they must have openned the 1 & 2 doors if you look #1 had been sprayed with dung coloured gunk but it looks white that must be steam coming up from ground level
    by elainekirk 6/10/2011 11:35:30 PM

  • @Dude You are welcome, hope you ppl can get some useful info from it
    by WolfDK 6/10/2011 11:35:38 PM

    by elainekirk 6/10/2011 11:36:47 PM

  • That fog looked like it originated from unit #1, is it dteam and not fog ?
    by WolfDK 6/10/2011 11:38:11 PM

  • @wolf steaming Yeah maybe we should adopt hwga (here we go again) to save ourselves typing time
    by elainekirk 6/10/2011 11:38:17 PM

  • dteam = steam
    by WolfDK 6/10/2011 11:38:22 PM

  • @elainekirk yep, its amazing after all this time we still get at least daily steam shows...
    by WolfDK 6/10/2011 11:39:27 PM

  • @wolf as I said below there is steam coming from ground level so they must have opened the doors
    by elainekirk 6/10/2011 11:39:45 PM

  • they werent supposed to open the doors I spose they will have an excuse for not waiting for approval
    by elainekirk 6/10/2011 11:40:54 PM

  • I saw it, it came from unit #1 that or my eyes are going bad
    by WolfDK 6/10/2011 11:41:04 PM

  • couldnt it be fog? i mean that would be a hell of a lot of steam
    by Dude 6/10/2011 11:42:24 PM

  • @elainekirk Have they ever done that ? (waited for approval)
    by WolfDK 6/10/2011 11:42:54 PM

  • @Dude Only if fog usually originates from a reactor building...
    by WolfDK 6/10/2011 11:43:30 PM

  • well i only saw it appear from bottom up but weather.com says right now fog in fuku can be sneaking in between the buildings from the seaside
    by Dude 6/10/2011 11:45:09 PM

  • Sadly i did not record the start this latest steamshow
    by WolfDK 6/10/2011 11:45:18 PM

  • this time they were told to do an assessment of the enviromental impact that opening the doors would have and submit it by the 15th
    by elainekirk 6/10/2011 11:46:16 PM

  • @Dude Dunno its also possible that i am just tired, its 02:00 am in my timezone :p
    by WolfDK 6/10/2011 11:46:42 PM
