The full share issue will be taken up by Japan Uranium Management Inc. (JUMI), a special
purpose entity established by the three Japanese companies in British Columbia, Canada.
Once JUMI completes the transaction, U1's outstanding shares will total 586.61 million,
and JUMI will have a holding of about 19.95%. TEPCO and Toshiba will each hold 40% of
JUMI's shares, and JBIC will hold 20%.
www.tepco.co.jpso jumi buying uranium is essentially tepco having 40% of what they purchase
OK thats 2 tepco - JUMI - lets see what other uranium pies their fingers are in
by elainekirk 7/14/2011 1:12:41 AM

So what happens to all these uranium holdings if Japan shuts down all the nukes?
by lillymunster 7/14/2011 1:17:22 AM

The Joint Venture consists of 4 partners: TEPCO Resources Inc. (Canada),
TEPCO's wholly-owned subsidiary, CAMECO (Canada), COGEMA (France), and a
subsidiary of Idemitsu Kosan Co., Ltd. (Canada). TEPCO Resources Inc.
owns 5% interest of Cigar Lake uranium mine project.

@lillymunster tepco will always have a market for its uranium and other governments and leccy companies know that if they upset tepco they will either not get or have to pay a premium I would suggest
by elainekirk 7/14/2011 1:19:45 AM

Because Japan has scarce uranium resources, it imports all uranium for its nuclear power needs. Therefore, TEPCO is working to diversify supply sources and regions, and to efficiently combine different procurement methods to secure stable and economic supplies of uranium resources. www.tepco.co.jp

@bo LOL probably. Actually it sounded like NISA asked them for some info either about 3 or all and this was one of their lame responses. TEPCO has a big habit of sending back a pittance of what is requested by METI
by lillymunster 7/14/2011 1:24:11 AM

@smoss Don't they play the US in the finals?
by lillymunster 7/14/2011 1:36:08 AM

@smoss anyone know when the match is? I have not been closely following.

Now I am really curious if these could actually filter water sufficiently.

@lillymunster I think I would want to be sure the contents were as stated but looks good
by elainekirk 7/14/2011 1:56:49 AM

Hi all, back for a while.
by bo 7/14/2011 2:17:48 AM

hi bo!
by lillymunster 7/14/2011 2:22:04 AM

@smoss I thought 8x8 but not totally sure. I assumed all the similar BWR reactors used the same dimension assembly.
by lillymunster 7/14/2011 2:25:14 AM

@LM they told them in may to issue full face masks tepco are laughing all the way to the bank
by elainekirk 7/14/2011 2:26:54 AM

@Smoss, some of these links might have assembly dimensions listed.

@elainekirk Is Scrooge their CFO? With all the costs to fix this why is TEPCO nickel and diming worker safety? Face masks, ice vests and food are for some reason too expensive to do?
by lillymunster 7/14/2011 2:31:25 AM

@smoss IIRC the 8x8 dimension came from GE manuals so I would look for something newer confirming specifically for that unit They were older GE manuals.
by lillymunster 7/14/2011 2:33:11 AM

@lillymunster the food charging will be a form of rationing we need input on whether prices are rising but simply the cost of sourcing and transport plus paying chefs etc will mean that the want to keep consumption low
by elainekirk 7/14/2011 2:34:24 AM

@LM that is exactly what I wrote about in my article. Some graves are being rebuilt in areas that were just damaged as opposed to washed away, or currently in high radiation areas. This will all lead to great depressions. Thanks for the post.
