  • Fukushima's 8.9 Earthquake was a myth? Jim Stone, who is an investigative journalist, indicates that the reported 8.9/9.0 Earthquake was a "seismic cover story" or a "tsuami nuke". Berkeley University researchers also indicate that a computer virus was the used to intelligently guide the failure of Fukushima's sophisticated multiple back-up systems. www.agoracosmopolitan.com

  • From Majj's TEPCO link. :-)"On August 14, 2011, we conducted sampling to evaluate the spread of
radioactive materials to the ocean which were detected at Fukushima
Daiichi Nuclear Power Station. As a result, radioactive materials were not
detected as shown in the attachment.
We informed NISA and the government of Fukushima Prefecture of the results
    today. "

I think the Chinese sprung a surprise on TEPCO LOL! :-)

  • Fukushima: Officials withold radiation data says Dr Leuren Moret : Independent scientist Leuren Moret, MA, PhD (ABT) has declared that the governments of Japan, the U.S. and Canada are continuing is a concerted, lock-step program of complicit cover-up of dangerous radiation levels resulting from the Fukushima nuclear false flag event of March 11, 2011.
Ms. Moret’s statements are made in an ExopoliticsTV interview with Alfred Lambremont Webre released August 14, 2011. Also made public is a court statement on the impacts and levels of Fukushima radiation by Dr. Chris Busby, Member of the International Society for Environmental Epidemiology and the Ukraine Committee Physicians of Chernobyl. Dr. Busby’s court statement, filed in a Japanese court case seeking to force the evacuation of more that 350,000 children from the Fukushima area, is set out at the end of this article in the public interest. www.agoracosmopolitan.com

    by Majj 8/16/2011 12:54:26 AM

  • I should see if I still have the insane letter Leuren Moret sent Arthur Hu. She was going off about HAARP, zionist conspiracies to plant nukes in unit 3 and how the earthquake was man made by the US. I need to make conspiracy theory bingo cards. :-)
    by lillymunster 8/16/2011 12:54:54 AM

  • @elainekirk Tanks . some days we are more luck
    by Majj 8/16/2011 12:55:02 AM

    by lillymunster 8/16/2011 12:55:20 AM

  • @lillymunster I will searsh hiin now :-)
    by Majj 8/16/2011 12:55:46 AM

  • @elainekirk the school beef article has broken images when I pull it up. The numbers sound right based on mainstream Japanese news media accounts from last week.
    by lillymunster 8/16/2011 12:56:38 AM

  • @lillymunster can you believe that Leuren Moret has spent years as an "environmental advisor" to the city of Berkeley?
    by bo 8/16/2011 12:57:24 AM

  • I think she is a private consultant now and just makes money on the conspiracy circuit.
    by bo 8/16/2011 12:58:00 AM

Leuren K Moret often asserts that she was a "nuclear scientist" at two DOE National Laboratories. This letter, obtained from the University of California operated Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory under the California Public Records Act shows that Moret was not a "scientist" and worked very briefly at the Laboratory. Moret was a Senior Scientific Technologist in the Center for Applied Scientific Computing for less than a year from 1989 to 1990. Moret also claims to have been trained in radiation detection by Manhattan Project Scientist Marion Fulk. Fulk's employment from 1964 to 1984, a normal 20 year career, as a Chemist at the Laboratory is also addressed in this letter. The Manhattan Project ended in 1946 so it is very unusual for a Manhattan Project scientist to wait 18 years to begin a 20 year career at the Lab. Moret never worked with Fulk either since Fulk retired in 1984, five years before Moret began work at the Lab.

  • @bo how do they cram that much crazy between two ears? Arthur sent me the insane rant she sent him. She blamed fukushima on everything short of Jimmy Hoffa. It wasn't even coherent.
    by lillymunster 8/16/2011 1:01:14 AM

  • @elainekirk LOL!
    by lillymunster 8/16/2011 1:02:03 AM

  • She is a opportunist. Every thin I find on her is ridiculous Example "Leuren Moret says Global Warming is hoax, diabetes caused by radiation" www.youtube.com
    by Majj 8/16/2011 1:02:14 AM

  • @lilly well you know how these people are, they start with a baseline of who they think the big bad enemy is and then fit every bad thing that happens anywhere to this preconceived villain. And they can make good money doing it and pretend to be rebellious truth tellers rather than batshit crazy lunatics.
    by bo 8/16/2011 1:03:01 AM

  • Is Arthur AC? Is she one of the people who wrote him?
    by bo 8/16/2011 1:03:40 AM

  • @bo LMAO yes. The black helicopter crowd seems to be a good money maker.

Arthur HU, writes a column at Asian Week.
    by lillymunster 8/16/2011 1:04:09 AM

  • The letter was so insane he shared it around.

  • Firsthand from Fukushima: Xeni on The Madeleine Brand Show (radio) : Today I joined the Madeleine Brand Show (a daily radio news program based in Southern California) to talk with host Alex Cohen about my recent trip to Japan, with PBS NewsHour correspondent Miles O'Brien. I was there working with Miles on science and technology stories for PBS NewsHour related to the March 11 quake, tsunami, and ensuing nuclear crisis.

In today's radio two-way, I spoke with Alex about the work of Safecast.org to gather radiation level data throughout the country, and share it online. We drove to Fukushima with the group, learned how they work, and met with local volunteers who were receiving geiger counters and instructions from the Safecast team.

We went inside what was at the time the 30km voluntary evacuation zone, and were 24.4km from the plant at the closest point during our travels. The "hottest" place we stopped showed surface measurements of 800K bequerels, or 20,000 CPM (counts per minute, which accounts for all types of particles decaying per minute; alpha, beta, gamma). At this hotspot, Safecast also detected elevated background levels between 9 and 10 μSv/hr. boingboing.net

  • Well, a lot of them model themselves on Alex Jones, who got rich with this stuff. We sometimes have to deal with these folks at the peace institute.
    by bo 8/16/2011 1:07:30 AM

  • @bo they have quite the cottage industry in fake newspaper websites going lately.
    by lillymunster 8/16/2011 1:09:14 AM

  • government department set up to accept reports of mislabelled produce www.maff.go.jp so obviously a big problem
    by elainekirk 8/16/2011 1:09:14 AM

  • @elainekirk we'll see how much they actually do or if it is another attempt at posturing.

  • Florida Power & Light employees heard a "loud bang" Thursday at the utility's Turkey Point nuclear plant 24 miles south of Miami when a large valve carrying water unexpectedly closed, turning off a system that cools equipment in one of the reactors, according to a Nuclear Regulatory Commission report on the incident.

FPL employees followed their procedures, immediately opening one of two backup valves to fix the issue within 20 minutes, said FPL Spokesman Mike Waldron.

"This situation did not impact our ability to operate safely," he wrote in an email. "The noise was caused by the two-feet wide valve closing."

Federal regulators say they haven’t determined the safety significance of the incident yet. FPL did not have to shut down the reactor in this case, as nuclear operators often do to be on the safe side when problems arise. weblogs.sun-sentinel.com
