TEPCO uses unmanned equipment to remove rubble
Tokyo Electric Power Company has bugun using unmanned heavy equipment to remove radioactive rubble at the tsunami-hit Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant.
Hydrogen explosions blew off the ceilings and walls of the Number One and Number Three reactor buildings. i was looking at pics of #4. does anyone have explanation how could hydrogen get to lower floors than SPF is locaeted?by trh 4/10/2011 8:27:07 PM- There was a lot of discussion on the physics blog about the weak spot in this design in an explosive situation being the bolt holes drilled into the concrete lip inside the drywell for the refueling cap. There was speculation that the drywekk hav explosively vented out through the holes and blown out the cylindric well above it. What if a piece of that, arced as it would be, blew out through the R3 wall, taking the blue and clouds covering with it, then smashed and rolled on the R4 building?by radioguy 4/10/2011 8:27:10 PM

- @trh 4 had no fuel in the reactor,, so all the hydrogen would have started to accumulate in the top of the building from the sfp. Fill it up enough and have someone go in there to see what is going on a few times.. - @marie rich Here's something I was working up for reporting. It's an awkward format, but it's probably very useful. I took the NYT status updates, drew them in and sorted them by reactor with ascending dates.
