@all. The EQ docs is my current project, trying to grab the relevant docs, get them translated and online. If something more urgent comes up that I should be after let me know. We are waiting on George to get back before we can get the website going. There is a glitch in his web hosting we need fixed and don't have the access to do it.

@fitter earthquake related information on the plant. There was required testing after the 2007 quake and supposedly retrofit work. The identical reactors at hamaoka were supposed to have roof braces and a bunch of other work. Chubu who runs it opted to shut down the reactors rather than do all the needed work. I am looking at the testing and retrofit done on FUKU. Not finding much work done to retrofit, as in they didn't bother.

@Nancy can we still post the raw info here, there are things that other might use (me.. pipe is not as much intrest to other, but there is a lot of infor that goes undetected that is very informative .... you have a pic, don't know how to identify, but it has a great pipe systm connection shown... ties into a tank... its a great shot

@dean I have to further think on that conclusion.... at one point i counted 56 nozzle connections... also do you know were i can find the original info on the shock absorbers.. would like to add to my drawing, but need to clairify what i am adding

@dean graylock engineering got back to me, they do not supply RPV gaskets... he check with someother engineers and had no answers... but i need to get back to him... and see if he knows of any other systems that they are in..

fitter.. the only applications I have seen for graylock in my experience is for high pressure / temperature fittings on water flow systems

@dean there are a couple of big flaws in Edano's theory. We know the round RPV cap is still on for sure. Heat images show it with steam and heat escaping from a few places around it. The flat dark area above the work floor that was thought to be the RPV top edge is the metal crane that is lying across the work floor. The rubble around it on either side gives the impression that dark object jutting up is shorter, doesn't run across the floor. There are lots of other views that show there is nothing jutting up out of the RPV including the one image that shows half of the RPV well itself.

@Nancy I'll look for it but not sure how to tell you which one, but its a new angle so that should help... the pipe looks like it goes to a square "pool" or object... but don't think the SFP tie-in below water level

@dean what we are looking for is the post 2007 eq testing that TEPCO was required to do, the findings, what work was to be done and if any of it was actually done. Also comparing the same set of info at Hamaoka because their old reactors are the same design and were shut down due to how much it would take to make them eq sturdy. The end of all of this is to see if any EQ retrofits were actually done.

@fitter yes. It has the RPV for sure. Yellow containment is the big maybe. I do think the RPV moved around in the EQ and pressure incident and that likely broke many connections.

@Nancy there seems to be an inconcistancy in the docs and drawings, that has me confused on the inner bulb... I need to go and put the info in proper building and years to see what applies... but some of the sites i saved are no longer there... or my computor won't go to them

@Nancy there are items that I trace by the bolting pattern of the flanges/ valve locations / and terminolgy is a big thing here.... they call pipes "tubes" and lots of wierd things, but reading thier doc's explain what they would mean in the "field" (we have our own langauge)

@fitter some of those terminology oddities are due to Google Translate being less than perfect. Oh I have not posted the 2007 change and eq docs. Still working on translating them. Should have the whole lot done and posted by tomorrow.

According to this they are still flooding (or trying to) containment on #1. Now I wonder how they are going to hook up the cooling system, possibly through the pipes into the Turbine building? www.stuff.co.nz
