@es @lillymunster. I don't see how people can wake up when they are not allowed to hear the truth. The world economy is controled by the privately owned and totally unregulated banks such as the federal reserve and the bank of england. American congressman Ron Paul has been fighting to get the federal reserve audited. He has been talking about the economic corruption and predicted the 2008 crash , consequently he receives an almost complete media blackout, both here and in the USA, as the reporting on the first straw poll (where he came second) clearly demonstrates.

@Cat Paul wants the govt. completely shut down and no corporate regulation. He really is kind of a fringe kook. Criticizing the federal reserve is more of a case of a broken clock being right twice a day. Pauls stance is no govt. and totally unregulated corporations. Yesterday Paul said we should shut down FEMA (our emergency disaster coordination dept). He said we should all just deal with disasters like Galveston did in the 1900's. He is either evil or a moron, Galveston was one of the worst disasters in US history and was made much worse due to the lack of food, water and help.

@illymunster. I have heard lots of madman reports about him, but when I listen to what he himself is saying I have only heard him talking sense. He wants the control of the economy back into the hands of the elected government, and out of the sticky-fingers of private shareholders. Are you sure you aren't just hearing the smear. What he says is very threatening to big corp power, and they have certainly been smearing.

Frank Baum wrote The Wonderful Wizard of Oz in 1900 as an attempt to warn people. My impression of Ron Paul is that he is well informed. I have heard all sorts of stuff about him but it doesn't seem to check out.

@lillymunster. I think he said he wants to gut the federal government and reintroduce a contitutional government, because the fed is no longer answerable to the electorate only corporate interests. Have a look at "The Money Masters" It is an eye-opener on world history.

@lillymunster. Most people think the federal reserve and the bank of england which issue all our money are government bodies. They are not they are private corporations with (very) private shareholders.

@Cat I'm aware of the situation of the federal reserve. The issue of the problems in the banking industry and where the govts have failed are more than a one party political problem. Nobody seems to have the ability or motivation to do anything. US politics have lots of complicated layers and lots of situations where one thing is said and something else is the true intention. This isn't the domain of one political faction.
The problem is everyone is being hammered by a situation where big companies are influencing politics and govt actions all over the world. The end result is everyone but a very few people are losing out. People in Japan being screwed over because their govt. can't function and is influenced by corporate money is just one instance of it.

@lillymunster. I thought it was lots of seperate issues untill I watched the money masters. It shows the international monetary conections control all corporate and government actions. I now see that the Japanese Govt. has little say in their own affairs.

If what TEPCO says is true then MOX fuel has the ability to make insanely huge amounts of hydrogen and has a much larger explosive power than is commonly admitted. In that it can create such a huge amount of energy.

Kan: Central storage plant planned in Fukushima

Prime Minister Naoto Kan has informed the governor of Fukushima Prefecture of a plan to build a central storage plant to temporarily manage nuclear waste, including contaminated soil.

At a meeting in Fukushima City on Saturday, Governor Yuhei Sato responded that he was troubled to hear about such a plan so suddenly.

He asked the government to take responsible action, as the plan would be extremely serious for the prefecture and relevant municipalities that have suffered greatly from the nuclear accident.

After the meeting, Kan told reporters that the government has no intention of making the plant a final facility.
He said he needed to make the request in order to pave the way to begin carrying out decontamination.

In addition to the DMCA and hacking attempt someone today is calling me insensately about a package they want to deliver to my house. They say it's a package with millions of dollars, I won a prize. They want to know if I'm at home now. The phone is ringing constantly even after telling this guy to stop three time. I recorded the guy, he has a vague Japanese accent. Will post asap...

The issues I'd want to alert the authorities to would be the incessant calling, the unrequested parcel delivery, and whatever financial scam the caller is trying to pull. In my view these complaints are unrelated to any website issues, which would need to be pursued through the relevant channels too.

For many reasons I think this is harassment from a low level, ie, a few jerks doing this on their own. I called the police and the woman said the call is recorded. I didn't have a police come out here since there's about to be a hurricane and they're needed more likely elsewhere.

That is call to the police was recorded, and so I made sure to say my name and address. But I also recoded this guy, I swear I can hear a Japanese accent.

@Ian If they call again wanting to deliver the package. Give them the address of the local precinct as yours and tell them you will only be home about the time the hurricane would be at its worst. :-)
