    by ikrockhopper 8/28/2011 1:36:42 AM

  • yes it is sad but true because until then people will alwas want to believe
    by elainekirk 8/28/2011 1:37:49 AM

  • @elainekirk I am sorry. I need to start working... Did I tell you this? The important reason I translate things into English is to tell people outside Japan that how we fight, how we/gov/industry are stupid. Now, all of you are working for the goal. So, I am so happy :) If the world learn a thing or two from the Fukushima and our stupidity, I am happy.
    by ikrockhopper 8/28/2011 1:38:09 AM

  • @ikrockhopper you are not stupid people you are brave , respected people and those who have failed you will be taught to respect you
    by elainekirk 8/28/2011 1:39:21 AM

  • Fukushima is a worse but similar flavor of a struggle going on everywhere. Corporations out of control and dysfunctional govt.
    by lillymunster 8/28/2011 1:40:23 AM

  • @ikrockhopper you work , we will try , I am going to say hello to our twitter friends
    by elainekirk 8/28/2011 1:40:40 AM

  • @elainekirk Thank you! but I am stupid because I gave up no-nuke stuff after a while at the Chernobyl. I feel guilty about it. I will do my best, and I really appreciate your help. You all can stop nukes in your countries and the world :)
    by ikrockhopper 8/28/2011 1:41:19 AM

  • @lillymunster yes Nancy we are all 'almost' Fukushima and may yet be the next one
    by elainekirk 8/28/2011 1:41:25 AM

  • @lillymunster Yeah. I hope more US people become aware of the stuff, and stop industry's lobby...
    by ikrockhopper 8/28/2011 1:42:07 AM

  • OK, I've got to work :) See you on twitter later. Have a good night and afternoon!
    by ikrockhopper 8/28/2011 1:42:40 AM

  • @ikrockhopper we can make it too damned expensive they would rather paddle water wheels once we have done with them by uniting together
    by elainekirk 8/28/2011 1:42:52 AM

  • @ikrockhopper, always think of the people who walk this world with eyes wide open. They exist everywhere. Your only have got to find them.
by Peter Melzer 8/28/2011 1:43:01 AM

  • @ikrockhopper see you soon take care
    by elainekirk 8/28/2011 1:44:21 AM

    10.3 Estimates of Crud Quantities

A chemical milling of the internal parts of the reactor pressure vessel of units 2 and 3 of the
Fukushima Power Station was undertaken. These BWR units had ~20 years of operation. The
chemical milling removed 60-70 kg (as metal) of iron/nickel/chromium crud (Sato et al. 2000).
This would be equivalent to ~90 kg of (Fe,Ni,Cr)3O4 from the pressure vessel materials. Though
not from a PWR, this work is the only study known to directly inventory the quantity of metal
removed as crud from the entire fuel-contacting coolant system in a light water reactor....continued

  • @es Sorry I didn't know you had already posted that! - Your quicker than me!
    by AustralianCannonball 8/28/2011 2:36:52 AM

  • @es I think I would go with the rad reading
    by elainekirk 8/28/2011 2:37:40 AM

  • @elainekirk After seeing the guy close-up, I thought maybe they were getting a precise measurement on the camera positioning?
    by es 8/28/2011 2:39:53 AM

  • rad reading ? where is the instrument ?
    by Edano 8/28/2011 2:40:52 AM

  • I worry at seeing it as anything too strange he probably had to stand waiting for the reading so thought he would have a bit of fun, Tepco are under no obligation to stream the cam and I worry that making it a questionable act could walk people straight into the internet censors hands and lose the cam
    by elainekirk 8/28/2011 2:41:18 AM

  • by Edano 8/28/2011 2:43:32 AM

  • @Edano he bent down as if to pick something up before leaving. It is by far the strangest thing I have seen happen but
    by elainekirk 8/28/2011 2:43:54 AM

  • by Edano 8/28/2011 2:43:59 AM

  • @Edano I dont see him making signs
    by elainekirk 8/28/2011 2:45:24 AM

  • i can't see a tube in his hands, no geiger counter and no cable. and he points and stares at the camera. this IS strange.
    by Edano 8/28/2011 2:45:25 AM

  • no. no signals. 20 min standing still...
    by Edano 8/28/2011 2:46:52 AM

  • LMAO what was that! :-)
    by lillymunster 8/28/2011 2:47:23 AM

  • i thought only the beefeaters can do that.
    by Edano 8/28/2011 2:49:05 AM

  • what did he have in his left hand?
    by lillymunster 8/28/2011 2:49:36 AM

  • he looks threatening.
    by Edano 8/28/2011 2:51:00 AM

  • @Edano As he arrived in position he did make a funny little gesture, though I thought it looked more ritualistic than communicative - see the fuku1live hi-speed footage at: www.youtube.com
    by es 8/28/2011 2:52:27 AM

  • I am going to sleep before anything stranger happens g'night all... what is behind the camera? is it 5&6? the rest area? could he be trying to tell the camera operator to look at something from another view? night night I shouldnt have had that cheese sandwich...............
    by elainekirk 8/28/2011 2:54:39 AM

  • nite elaine. I think this is stranger than the guys doing the booty dance while they were standing out at the staircase. :-)
